How to Facilitate an Enneagram Workshop: A Sample 2-Hour Agenda

We’ll talk about how to structure the time, what Enneagram concepts to prioritize, where to build in audience participation and discussion, and how to keep a shorter workshop from feeling like two hours of Enneagram information overload.

I’ll also share ideas for extending this same structure into a half-day Enneagram workshop when you have more time for team discussion, application, and activities.

A Sample 2-Hour Enneagram Workshop Agenda

3 Weeks Before the Workshop

Before participants arrive, we start laying the groundwork for the experience:

• Send Enneagram assessment codes and completion instructions
• Give participants time to review their results before the session
• Invite team members to complete a pre-workshop survey
• Review available team information to help shape examples, discussion, and facilitation

Part 1: Learn - Approximately 90 Minutes

The first portion of the workshop gives participants enough Enneagram knowledge to begin recognizing the nine different ways people may approach their work.

Topics can include:

• Introduction to the Enneagram and how it applies in the workplace
• Overview of the nine Enneagram types
• Common strengths each type may bring to a team
• Potential workplace struggles, blind spots, or points of tension
• Audience participation and reflection throughout the type overview
• Participant check-in and initial Enneagram team map review

The goal isn't for participants to memorize nine personality profiles in 90 minutes. It's to begin noticing differences in motivation, perspective, communication, and behavior, and what those differences can mean when people have to work together.

Part 2: Discuss - Approximately 30 Minutes

Once participants have a foundation, shift from learning about the Enneagram to talking about what they're noticing.

Depending on your group, this might include:

• Breaking into type-specific groups for guided discussion
• Comparing workplace experiences with others who identify with the same type
• Identifying strengths or patterns that show up at work
• Sharing key takeaways with the larger group
• Closing reflections and next steps

This discussion time gives participants a chance to put the language into their own words and connect the Enneagram concepts to the people, relationships, and situations they encounter at work.
